"APOLOGY FOR SLAVERY" is the 19th episode of CopperCab.
I REALLY CAN'T SPEAK FOR ALL WHITE PEOPLE IN GENERAL, BUT I CAN SPEAK FOR MYSELF... I AM SORRY I KNOW I PERSONALLY HAVE NEVER BEEN A RACIST OR LIKED SLAVERY OR LIKED THE FACT THAT IT HAPPENED.. TO ME IT IS A VERY SHAMEFUL THING.. FROM WHAT I HAVE BEEN TOLD IT WAS FOR THE ECONOMY, WITH CHEAP LABOR AND STUFF.. BUT I STILL DON'T THINK IT'S RIGHT.
HAPPY MARTIN LUTHER KING DAY
SLAVERY IS WRONG. RACISM IS WRONG, I MEAN PEOPLE WILL ALWAYS BE PEOPLE AND THERE WILL ALWAYS BE DISCRIMINATION IN THE WORLD BUT I STILL THINK THERE IS KINDNESS IN ALL OF US..
I LOVE WHITE PEOPLE, BLACK PEOPLE, HISPANICS.. I LOVE EVERYBODY AT THE END OF THE DAY WE ARE ALL HUMAN BEINGS
IM A GINGER, AND IM PROUD OF IT!
This video has received mostly unfavorable reactions from viewers and the YouTube community.
Michael's perceived bias towards black people led to accusations of him hating white people, particularly at the part where he tells the black people that he loves them. He was also criticized for saying he isn't white and is a redhead, but has white people in his blood. The video also got a negative response from many black YouTubers who believed that "apologizing" for slavery (as well as claiming that they "didn't mean to") was inappropriate and offensive. Michael clarified these criticisms in his video condemning anti-Mexican Arizonan racists on CopperVision that he doesn't hate white people since he has white parents.
A user called laughandpeealittle parodied this, satirically apologizing for affirmative action.
